This is a way of using currently owned 4port KVM (Keyboard, Video and Mouse) switches
to serve 12 additional computers and one main one.

The cost, at about $25 a piece is $125, however an 8 port rack mounted KVM will cost over $200 as of December 27, 2009.

Assuming each sub KVM is set to the computer associated with it you use the most
then the main KVM will serve the various operating systems
Catch: need to have all the computers together\ to feed the various cables to the computers.

Question
Why can't we do all of this through TCP/IP and Ethernet?    With appropriate hubs, switches and routers.
